Serena Williams

July has already been a great month great American women athletes, showing that just because they are girls it does not mean they are not as incredible as the men out there competing. To start the month off, the US Women’s Soccer team claimed the World Championship at the World Cup in historic fashion. Then, not even a week later, Serena Williams made history with her second “Serena Slam” by winning the Wimbledon Championship, showing that a 33-years-old, she is still by far the best tennis player of this era.

In the octagon, Cristine “Cyborg” Justino made easy work out of Faith Van Duin and then directed a statement toward another woman dominating the brutal combat sport, Ronda Rousey. On August 1, “Rowdy” will continue to stake her claim as the best pound-for-pound fighter when she takes on another unbeaten fighter Bethe Correia as the stand-alone headliner of the UFC 190 Pay Per View.
