With a remarkable 1,442-219 career record in single competition and 86.8-percent win rate, it is no surprise that Martina Navritalova was a seven-time Women’s Tennis Association Player of the Year, including five-straight from 1982 to 1986. Navritalova won 167 career titles, including nine Wimbledon titles, a record that still stands, along with four US Open title, three Australian Open titles and two French Open championships. Her 18 career Grand Slams were tied for the most in the Open Era at the time of her retirement and her six-straight Wimbledon titles is still a record that stands today as well. Navritalova played in 32 Grand Slam finals in her career. She was also an accomplished doubles player as well, winning 31 Grand Slam titles, 10 Mixed Doubled Grand Slam titles, all with various partners.
