Bill Walsh

Bill Walsh had an eye for talent that few others had. So many times he picked out prospects that few others took a second look at. He loved to put those guys in his system and created dynasties. Walsh revolutionized the West Coast offense and went 102-63-1 with the San Francisco 49ers with 10 postseason victories. His team won at least 10 games in a season seven out of his 10 seasons as their coach and had at least 13 victories three times. In 1984 his Super Bowl champions were 15-1 in the regular season. He led the 49ers to six division titles, three NFC Championships, and three Super Bowl titles. He was a two-time Coach of the Year and his imprint on the game is still impossible to see. Walsh’s coaching tree included many great coaches, who have won Super Bowls and led their teams to tremendous success.
