Bobby Knight

Fiery is just one way to describe Bobby Knight. Everybody remembers his infamous chair throw, but the man got results as a coach. Knight most famously led the Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball team from 1971 to 2000 and won three national championships, went to five Final Fours and won 11 Big Ten regular season titles. In the 1975-76 season, Indiana went a perfect 32-0. The Hoosiers had four 30-win seasons. He was also an eight-time Big Ten Coach of the Year. Knight retired in 2008 with a 902-371 record. At the time, he had the most wins of any Division I basketball coach ever. Knight’s 41 seasons as a head coach also featured stints at Army and Texas Tech. He only had two losing seasons his entire year. He had at least 20 wins 28 times in his career.
