Casey Stengel

Casey Stengel was the skipper for perhaps the greatest dynasty in baseball history. From 1949 to 1958, Stengel led the New York Yankees to 973 victories and seven World Series Championships. Four of those World Series were won consecutively from 1949 to 1953, and the Yankees won two more American League pennants in the overall 10 year stretch. Over 25 years as a manager in Major League Baseball, Stengel managed the Brooklyn Dodgers, Boston Bees/Braves and New York Mets as well as the Yankees. He accumulated 1,905 victories. At the time of his retirement he ranked fourth all-time.
